Red Trees

Red Trees

Red Trees are a duo playing sparse and simple, yet hypnotic and very beautiful songs.

In their carefully crafted songs, the vulnerabilities of the human heart are set against the wonders of the natural world

Chris Beckett and Lou Richards met in York, UK in 2006 and are now based in Sheffield. Neil Johnson (Kogumaza) brings sensitive touches of percussion.

Red Trees have supported artists including Trembling Bells, Tiny Vipers, Richard Dawson and David Thomas Broughton, as well as playing the Sin-Eater and Tramlines Festivals.

To date they have released 4 very limited edition EPs, one for each season of the year, as part of a year-long project entitled ‘Seasons’.

These EPs, written and recorded simply at home using a basic recording set up and released on 3″ mini-CD, have received considerable attention and favorable reviews.

Red Trees have been single and album of the week multiple times on the Italian music review site ‘Music Won’t Save You‘ and the radio station ‘L’Attimo Fuggente’.

The EPs are available to buy via Sea Records
