Elisa Luu (Elisabetta Luciani) is a Rome based composer.

She begins her music career as a saxophone player, moving freely from fusion to jazz.

Elisa Luu has been involved in many music projects over the years, including fusion quartet Prodotti Speciali and Short’s Monday Night Jazz Orchestra.

She participated to Berklee Jazz clinics where she got a special mention as alto sax player.

In 2007 she decided to move forward and started to compose electronic music.

In 2008 she released her first EP, Floating Sounds, with Phantom Channel , a UK based net label.

Surrounded by her two beloved dogs, she works in her home studio, away from the madding Roman bustle.

She released in 2009 her debut album Chromatic Sigh with australian label Hidden Shoal Recordings.

In March 2010 runs La bèl netlabel with friend Adriano Bossola (Di Bos)

In July 2010 she released her first EP with La bèl: The time of waiting.

In March 2011 Elisa Luu released “Ebbrezza” (Lav39) with the great italian netlabel Laverna.

In June 2012 she released her last album: Un giorno sospeso” , with Hidden Shoal Recordings.

November 2014: On Enchanting Gaze, Elisa Luu’s shimmering tones and deftly handled rhythms are manipulated into breathtaking new shapes.

March 2021: On Luu’s Strange Visions, Four tracks that represent an intimate gaze on such a “visionary” time.
